요즘 이런저런 이유로 애프터눈티를 자주 즐기고 있어요ㅎㅎ
제가 좀… 먹을 복이 있는 편이거든요? 😋
이번엔 오랜만에 만나는 친구와 브런치 겸 수다타임을 가지기로 했는데요,
예약은 제가 했고, 급하게 찾다 보니 시간대 맞고 가성비 좋다는 후기가 많은
동대문 노보텔 20층 고메바로 결정했어요!
🏙 전망 좋은 고메바, 살짝 당황한 자리 배치
노보텔 고메바는 20층에 위치해 있어요.
덕분에 남산 방향의 구시가지 뷰가 펼쳐지는데요,
개발이 덜 된 지역이라 그런지 더 운치 있고 고즈넉한 느낌이 있더라고요.
근데... 저희가 안내받은 자리는 나란히 앉는 구조?!
마치 귓속말이라도 해야 할 분위기였어요ㅋㅋ
사진도 서로 못 찍어줘서 살짝 아쉬웠어요.
그리고 같은 층에 인피니티 풀이 있어서,
수영복 입은 이용객들과 마주칠 수도 있어요😉 (참고하세요!)

애프터눈티 브런치 세트가 너무 예쁘게 나왔죠?
- 샐러드는 정말 신선했고,
- 크로플은 바삭하고 달콤하게 환상적!
- 트레이에 올려진 베이커리류도 하나같이 맛있었어요.
음료는 바나나 오렌지 티를 아이스로 주문했고,
1회 리필 가능하다는 점도 좋았어요!
함께 간 친구가 베지테리언이라
일부 메뉴는 요청드려서 교체해 주셨는데,
친절하게 잘 응대해주셔서 감사했어요 🙏

비록 사진은 못 찍어줬지만…
색다르게 나란히 앉아 나눈 브런치 시간, 생각보다 괜찮았어요.
특히 가성비 대비 훌륭한 구성이라

노보텔 고메바 애프터눈티, 추천할만해요💕

Lately, for one reason or another, I’ve been enjoying afternoon tea more often than usual 😄
Maybe it’s just that I’m blessed with good food luck, who knows? Haha.
On this particular day, I had a brunch date with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while,
and I took charge of making the reservation.
Since we were booking at the last minute, most places were fully booked—
so we decided on the Gourmet Bar at Novotel Dongdaemun,
which has a reputation for being great value for money.
🏙 20th-Floor City View… and a Surprise Seating Arrangement 😅
The Gourmet Bar is located on the 20th floor of the hotel,
which means you get a beautiful view of Namsan Mountain and the surrounding city.
It’s an older part of town, so the skyline isn’t flashy—but that gives it a certain charm and peacefulness.
Now, about the seating…
We were seated side by side, rather than across from each other.
We joked that it felt like we had to whisper secrets the whole time 🤣
And since we couldn’t face each other, we couldn’t take any nice photos of one another—too bad!
Also, note that the same floor has the infinity pool, so you might pass by guests in swimsuits.
(Just a heads-up if that’s something you care about!)
🧁 The Afternoon Tea Set – Beautiful & Delicious
Take a look! Isn’t it lovely?
- The salad was super fresh
- The croffle (croissant waffle) was crispy and sweet—amazing
- The pastries and baked treats on the tray were just as tasty as they looked!
I ordered a banana-orange tea (iced) and was happy to find out that one refill was included.
Also, since my friend is vegetarian, they kindly swapped out a few items for her, which we really appreciated.
💬 Final Thoughts – Unique & Worthwhile
Even though we couldn’t take photos of each other (thanks to the side-by-side seats 😂),
the experience felt fresh and fun.
The ambience was relaxed, the view was calming,
and the afternoon tea set was truly a great value for what we got.
